Who Are Watchman Ministries Inc.

THE FOUNDER - A PROFILE:

David Thompson grew up in a home which accepted spiritism (spiritualism), reincarnation, divining and apparitions as a normal way of life. In his mid-teens he alternately attended the Methodist church and a Spiritist Church. It was not until his early twenties that he was shown what the Scriptures have to say about the counterfeit occult area (Deut.18:9-15), contrasted against the genuine supernatural power of the Holy Spirit (Mark 16:15- 20). He renounced and repented of his involvement in the occult, and enthusiasticly accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour.

Hearing the Cries of the Traumatised Child

Understanding the Impact of Early Childhood Abuse
Dissociative Identity Disorder and Ritual Abuse

Dissociation Identity Disorder (DID) was identified, studied, and documented by the Frenchman Pierre Janet over 100 years ago and considered a rare condition. Prior to 1994, Dissociation was known as Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD). It is a psychological coping condition that occurs as a result of a violation of one or several of the senses and safe boundaries through (severe) trauma occurring in early childhood (conception -10 years old.) This is known within a spiritual framework as "fragmentation of the soul" and is precipitated through severe trauma which creates an emotional overload which the individual is unable to mentally cope with and they dissociate from the trauma.

Unanswered prayers

WHY DO SOME PRAYERS GO UNANSWERED?

Often when Christian folk have received the very best of prayer and ministry, yet without any significant change or improvement, there can be other factors that need to be explored. It is generally appreciated that it would be inappropriate to blame or shame those receiving prayer for their “lack of faith!” “failure to read the Word”, “hidden sin” etc. if healing or a positive outcome was not forthcoming either immediately or in the short term!

It is interesting to consider how much personal credit we take if God answers our prayers! Hopefully none, giving Him all the credit! However if prayer does not produce the results we seek, how much sense of blame, shame or confusion do we carry? Frequently most of it! Why?

There can be reasons why the very best prayer support does not produce the outcomes we are seeking.

We want to explore in a brief overview, why it often appears that prayer seems to go unanswered.

Divination and Occult in the Church

Divination in the Church?

At a speaking engagement where I shared of having come out of family and personal occult involvement, I made reference to water dowsing, or water witching. I further described the use of the wedding ring of a pregnant woman suspended by a thread either over her palm or her tummy, to predict the gender of the child! After the meeting, a man literally ran to me, explaining that while his wife was absent, this was done to her by the Pastor’s wife in a large Pentecostal church they attended! I responded that I was not overly surprised. Sharing this with a Pastor with over 35 years’ experience, he asked in amazement how this was done. I explained that the source was “divination”, an occult practice forbidden in Deuteronomy 18:9 aligned with water dowsing. His response amazed me! “But that is the way that Abraham located his well sites”, he responded seriously. I asked for a scriptural reference, but of course there is none.
